First off, thank you for writing one of my favorite books. The Martian probably has my favorite first line of any book. Did the first line morph at all while you wrote, or was it there from the start?

Andy Weir It was the first line I wrote. I didn't think it was good or bad at the time. It was just how I decided to start off.

Have you figured out if The Martian is eligible for the Hugo?
