Goodreads asked Betsy Love:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Betsy Love When I sit down to write and words will not come, I do what I used to tell my High School English students when they couldn't think of anything. Write this at the top of your page: "I have something brilliant to write." Repeat if necessary. I have done that from time to time, and it ALWAYS works. But some days, I just need to take a break. Some days, if exhaustion is at the top of my priorities, I'll watch a movie and ask myself, how would I write that story different?
