Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Patrick Harnish I had the idea for this story, or at least part of it, back in college. I remember writing some of John's first encounter with The Adversary. Even back then, John had a brain tumor in the story. Little did I know, my father would have this same affliction at the end of his life. I was able to draw inspiration from my father, and my wife's father, to bring John to life. It was perhaps the loss of those two great men that brought this story back into my mind. I'm glad I could finally give it a voice.
