Tea Spangsberg Write, write, write. The more you write, the more practice you get, the better you get.

And, don't ever take bad critiques to heart. Read them, look at them objectively, learn from those that can help you, dismiss the rest. Because no matter what you do, you cannot please everyone. There will always be those who hate what you do. That's why even the biggest authors have 1-star reviews.
