Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Kayla Parent In the past few years, I've started quite a few novels. Most of them remain unfinished, because I quickly lost passion or inspiration for the idea. When it comes to Indigo, she came to me first. I pictured her scar, started piecing together her background, materializing her in my mind. I remember it happened so quickly! All the sudden I had this girl I just had to get down on paper, and a story I had to tell. I had never felt that way about an idea before. I'm not surprised it's a romance with an element of crime.

I've always been fascinated with both.
