I was alone in quarantine, looking for a book to read when my old creative writing teacher told me in a workshop to "write the book you're looking for." I've always been interested in marriages, in the ones that last and the ones that don't, and fidelity was a subject that interested me a lot too, so I decided I'd explore it by creating a love story not about the marriage, but about the love that broke one up. I've also always been very interested in whoever I'm dating's exes, so I wanted to explore where that interest comes from.
