Hi Bonnie - this book is triggering a lot of emotions! Started today and love it already. I am shocked about the situation of women in the US. Hope the beginning is fictional?

Bonnie Garmus The entire book is fictional, but for one out of six US women, sexual assault is very real. I, too, am shocked by the current war on women in the US. There's much we can do to fight the latest SCOTUS decision and we must. Women's rights are human rights. We deserve control over our own bodies, safe environments in which to work and live, and equal pay and opportunity. Anything less is inexcusable. As Elizabeth Zott would say, this is not an opinion. It's a fact!

LOVED this book so much! I read it in one day--to heck with housework! I am old enough to remember the disparity of wages--which hasn't improved all that much IMHO. Elizabeth is my hero(ine)! Will you write a sequel?
