Before I begin to write a story I start a Pinterest board to fill with visual inspiration. When my well is dry I will visit that board and/or search for new visual stimuli to add to it. If that doesn't work, I plan a day outdoors. I like to hike with my dog or if I get the opportunity to explore parts of a city that I haven't visited before I do that.
