Seriously, they're not your friends if they do not want the best for what is best in you. Dump 'em, ASAP. Life is too short to be mired in Sticky People. If that leaves you with no one, you are much better off. New people will appear, ones who want you to be great. You will know when they read your stuff and say, 'fabulous! what happens next? Tell me more!' Just one such person will fill the void more fully than ten thousand legions of Sticky People.
