A Goodreads user asked Morgan Menefee:

How do you deal with the writing block?

Morgan Menefee Writer's block is tough! One thing I don't do is break my writing habit. If I get writer's block, I don't stop writing for the day or let myself move on to some other task. For me, maintaining that routine is important. I might switch writing projects (I tend to have multiple at once), but I keep writing. If I don't want to switch projects, I will just write anything that comes to my head. Yes, it will (mostly) get deleted later, but I count those words toward my 1,000 words per day goal anyway because it's rare that writer's block prevents me from writing anything productive. In fact, I often accidentally write something useful while I'm just free writing.
