I've always wanted to write a book about dragons, and it just kind of went from there. I knew they would have to be sentient dragons but deciding how to show this and how they would communicate did take a little bit of time to work out. I love the end result! Being bonded to a dragon and sharing ones emotions in this way is both special and somewhat complicated, but I really think it works.
