Hi Andrew in my previous question you said the power of a spell wasn’t based on the power of the contracted beast. If so what is the point of having a contract with Seiryu or say an Ice Slime? Thank you and have a nice day Ps: I finished reading AA4 they day it came out and I loved it.. what you did to the characters was a bit harsh and what happened to Mara made me heartbroken :(

(view spoiler)[Hey! Thanks for the question. Please try to avoid spoilers in your questions - like mentioning that something happens to Mara at the end of the book - in the future. A ton of people haven't read the book yet and may still look at this page.
To answer your question, there are several advantages.
First, being able to summon a copy of Seiryu herself is the big one - even if her power is limited based on the mana that is used to summon her, a copy of Seiryu has a vast array of skills and abilities at her disposal, many of which would allow for her to function at a greater ability than other monsters at the same mana level.
Beyond that, Seiryu can offer a much broader variety of mana types during contract negotiations.
Seiryu can also offer her Summoner knowledge and insight if she chooses to, or even choose to intervene directly if her Summoner is threatened and she feels the need to do something about it.
Finally, Seiryu and other powerful entities may have access to esoteric spells they can teach to their summoner, many of which require multiple mana types to cast that would be otherwise difficult to come by.
Hope this helps! (hide spoiler)]

Hey I was wondering 2 things :) I am assuming that Arcane Ascension is a like in the future of War of broken mirrors, is that right? And a second would be if the arcane ascension books has a set number of books; From finishing On the shoulder of titans, it feels like it'll definitely be more than a trilogy. What would the length of the series be in estimation?

I imagine this might be a RAFO question and I totally understand if you can't answer but a friend and I were debating about this so I thought I would just ask. (Spoilers Ahead for AA) Would Corin have been able to change Magnus' attunement to any other attunement, or was he only able to change it to an enchanter attunement because he has spent so much time studying nearly every aspect of it and the sub-glyphs within?

I am currently listening to Sufficiently Advanced Magic for the second time after finishing On the Shoulders of Titans. Corin mentions several times that he'd like to be able to create simulacra. Teft mentions in his explanation of simulacra they require both mental and life mana with some grey mana to create. With Corin's attunement combination he should be able to create simulacra. Is this something he will learn?
