Hi, Rose. Thanks for opening up this Q&A! From reading your memoir and your blog, I know that you have overcome many challenges as a writer. What do you see as the biggest challenge for writers today?
Rose Rosetree
Jasmine Ariti, good to hear from you. Skim-reading, I'd call that challenge: That name comes from Marianne Wolf's magnificent nonfiction book, "Readers Come Home." Another name for this challenge is rushed reading.
Although that might seem like a reader's problem, it actually becomes a writer's problem if you're also an innovator. As some of you Goodreaders may know, Energy Spirituality is highly innovative, and not just because of the 11 trademarked systems.
Every new book delivers new knowledge. Sometimes I struggle to be heard and seen, when rushed readers assume that they already know it all. They race right by.
For example, how many have stopped to read the back cover of my latest book? That's "Seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening."
Transformative knowledge is there for the taking, but only if the reader slows down enough to notice.

Rose Rosetree:
Hi, Rose! On page 40 of Bigger Than All The Night Sky, you say: "Questing Reader, I'll do my best to have fun *without* waiting for some bad part to happen any minute..." How has this commitment to joy - made when you were so young, 4 or 5 years old - shaped your life, personally and as a teacher? Has it ever been hard for you to come back to joy? (Sometimes I find it hard.) Thank you.
