I've been an avid romance reader since my late teens/early twenties, and they honestly got me through raising three children (they were my "Calgon Take Me Away" salvation. I've always liked to write, although I didn't really make time for it until my youngest child was old enough to fend for herself. I like to call this career my "second act."
