Wow. I just finished The Flight of the Silvers. I don't have a question. I just want to say that this book was amazing. I can't wait for more. Oh, it won't let me post it unless I ask a question. So, when can we expect the next one? I hope not three years...

Hi AJ,
I'm so glad you enjoyed the book. You'll be pleased to know that I'm 3-4 months away from submitting a full draft of THE SONG OF THE ORPHANS to Penguin. Once they're comfortable that the book isn't a hot raving mess, they'll carve a space for it on their release calendar. It's not coming right away, but it won't be a three-year wait either.

What is your writing process? Do you listen to music when you write? Do you need silence? Do you write out storylines and characters or do you go for it with just a few ideas and a general direction of where you want the story to go? Are you always thinking about the book even when not writing? Do you have a set amount of time you write everyday? Do you ever get writer's block and if yes how do you over come it?

I just finished "The Flight of the Silvers"! It was not what I expected at all. Needless to say it was GREAT! I'm even more excited that the sequel seems to be on its way! Thanks for your gift! Now that I'm done gushing...actual question... Your characters are very vibrant and relatable. Do they mirror people you know personally or have met, or are they completely made up?

Hello Mr. Price :-) So it's been months since I've read Flight of the Silvers and I can still remember the characters as if I've just finished reading it. I write this to say that I miss them, a lot! Also, if you every get bored and decide to write some short stories where Scott Singer and I are happily married, I'd be totally open to that! Do you plan to write any more Slick-like stories? Kia
