Shannon Rampe
Assistant to a Judge of Hell and Other Stories was born out of my love for the short stories of Roald Dahl - not his children's tales necessarily, but stories he wrote for adults. They're vicious little story about horrible people doing terrible things and getting their just desserts. When I was writing and later editing the stories for this collection, I had Roald Dahl very much in mind. Individually, each of the tales in the collection has its own backstory as well. I encourage you to read the notes at the end of the book for more.
