Rick Riordan:
Hi Uncle Rick! So, this is probably a weird question, but three series with five books each, two trilogies, several short stories, a standalone and two more books on the way, do you ever feel like you have run out of ideas? Like, after being done with a book, have you ever felt like your well of inspiration has finally drained? If yes, how do you get your inspiration back? Also, I'm a BIGGG fan!!!!
Rick Riordan
Thanks for reading! Weirdly, ideas are the easy part. I never run out of ideas. I have half a dozen right now that I may or may not get to use for books because of time and bandwidth. The hard part is actually writing them down and turning them into books. That never gets easier, alas!

Rick Riordan:
Kind of a specially nerdy question, but in Greek and Roman mythology the Morning Star and the Evening Star (Eosphorus and Hesperus) are sibling deities based on the brighter "Star" in the sky during dawn and dusk, later recognized as the planet Venus. As such, could Afrodite/Venus be a fatherly figure of demigods through those aspects, instead of always a motherly figure? Or would they be different gods alltogether?

Are you optimistic—or at the very least hopeful—about the future market for children's literature in the coming years and decades? While there will always be children who love to read, it seems as though reading among younger generations is declining. What can authors, publishers, or educators do to reinvigorate a child's desire to read, and are there innovative approaches or past successes that give you hope?

Hello, Mr Riordan. I´m a huge fan of the Percy Jackson books. I read the books as a child and as a teenager. Now I´m studying at a film school. What can I do to become part of the crew of the Percy Jackson series? Right now I´m focused on the sound department. Your books and everything I have read in my life are the reason I´m a film student. Thank you for giving Percy another chance in the audiovisual world.
