Goodreads asked Stephen Herczeg:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Stephen Herczeg Just finish it.
The biggest problems for new and aspiring writers are:
1. Starting a story;
2. Finishing a story.
So many people simply continue to write/edit/polish a story until it shines in their eyes but never finish it.
The biggest trick I've found is, finish it, let it go, start another. You can always go back to it, but you need to finish it.
As they say, you can't have 100 published books/stories if you never finish one.
