Goodreads asked Nessie Strange:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Nessie Strange The best remedy is not to put too much focus on what you didn't do when the writing isn't flowing, and to recognize that it's OK to set it aside for a little while. I can't say I've ever felt hopeless, or like I couldn't write. For me, it's always outside influences affecting my productivity--distraction, or too much stuff going on in my life that's clouding my thoughts. Stress goes hand in hand with the inability to focus and that breeds frustration. If I'm feeling like that, I need to take a breather and figure out how to fix what's bothering me.
