When you are writing a new book do you need something to help you focus during the the process (music, candy, a soft drink/hard liquor)?

Martin Clark Annabella--The new book, THE PLINKO BOUNCE, is finished and should be out this fall. David Aaron Baker and Morgan Hallett just finished recording the audiobook. As for writing and my focus, I always try to save the hard liquor until I'm through at the computer--a nice reward or treat. Also, I write early in the mornings, so quiet and calm are very much welcome. Cheers and thanks for asking. MFC

How did the hometown folks respond to your books and the local references? I enjoyed them so much I actually bought them all (although someone borrowed "Many Aspects" and never returned it - they must have liked it, too). I worked at Stuart Enterprise many years ago so I appreciate those local references and the considered thought put into writing about events that affect the area and the legal system in general.
