How do you deal with writer’s block?

Elise VanCise If I get stuck or "blocked" I usually have the character lose something. They have to search where ever they are at for the object. Or just get nosey if they're in someone else's home or car. Sometimes this can lead to a new idea or a fun "break" from a serious point in the plot. Especially if they get caught going through someone's junk drawer or medicine cabinet. who knows there may even be a clue hidden in those places :)
