Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Caris Roane RAPTURE'S EDGE 1 "Awakening" is the continuation of my Guardians of Ascension series. This story is all about Duncan who is caught in a trance by my latest villainess, Yolanthe, a Third Earth vampire who wants control over Duncan's future powers. Enter, Rachel, who has powers of her own though a complete unwillingness to engage with the ongoing war against the death vampires. The best part: Duncan and Rachel have been lovers off and on for decades, so AWAKENING is the first of three books that reveals their romance, growth, and expanding powers. I think the idea for this story essentially came from my desire to expand the Guardians of Ascension world and take my readers into an entirely new world: Third Earth.
