While tossing and turning in the bed one night, my gaze kept dragging towards the dark shadow in the corner, but nothing was ever there. When I awoke the next morning and walked to the corner to convince myself it was all a dream, there were two wet shoes marks imprinted in the carpet and in the direction facing the bed.
