What inspires me first is an idea. Then I do some research to discover whether the concept has any merit for a book. Once I begin a project it is the material itself that keeps me inspired. Sometimes I get so involved in the writing I forget to eat :)

Well this is not a secret about Science and this author has no technical nor academic competence to deal with those realities. Wouldn't be better way to deal with it through the competent scientific authorities from the specific fields of research in which those issues were addressed from the start, not from superficial adaptations of non-qualified authors make from simplified Pop Sci publications?
