What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Ian James Krender For your first book the advice given to me was "write about what you know." I agree with this wholeheartedly. When you have finished editing and proofreading the book yourself, put it away in a drawer for a couple of months, then reread it. You will be surprised how much you missed in terms of grammar and how much you will want to change it. Do this before you think about sending it to a publisher. Lastly, write for your own enjoyment rather than thinking you are going to become the next JK Rowling.
