How do you deal with writer’s block?

Michael Phillip Cash I don't know that I have had writer's block. I have abandoned stories that fail to develop.Is that writer's block? When I don't feel like writing, I won't. Other times, I will force a story to continue through an uncertain patch and am often surprised at where it ends up. Many times, I feel that the characters tell me what they want to do rather than the other way around. I started The After House with Eli being a scary menacing figure, and he wouldn't stay that way.
