Hi Rick, do you recommend finishing the TOA series before reading The Sun and the Star or can it be read as a standalone?

Rick Riordan Apollo is offended you would even ask. : ) You can certainly read Sun and the Star on its own. You will be missing a lot of developments that happened to all our main demigods during the TOA series, however, so there may be some catching up to do and definitely some spoilers.
