Joe, I loved The Baseball 100. Thank you! In reading the acknowledgements, I noticed Jeff Garlin and Nick Offerman appeared. Can you share anything about how they contributed or inspired you to undertake this great compilation? I'm a big fan of all three of you.

Joe Posnanski Hi Jack. Thanks for the question. Super lucky that Jeff and Nick are friends and both also play a pretty major (and even more direct) role in my next book, Why We Love Baseball. They are both big baseball fans (and, perhaps not coincidentally, both big Chicago Cubs fans) and each offers a great perspective for how to think about the game. Oh, and they're both just lovely people.

Joe...just finished the Baseball 100 and absolutely loved it. Here's an idea for your next book: the Baseball 9723-9624. The same kind of book, but about the most average of the 20K or so players who have played MLB? Maybe it's too soon to write it after the work that you put in on BB100...but I'd be first in line to read it if you did. Thanks.
