Most of the time it's a single image or a conversation. In this case it was actually the title itself. I made a joke about gas stations in Texas in the seventies and eighties being one stop shopping for all your essential needs, "cigerettes, guns and beer." The book evolved from that joke, with the original title being Cigerets, Guns & Beer: One Stop Shopping.
