Goodreads asked Shelby Franks:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Shelby Franks Write first, edit later. Write everything you’re thinking even if it’s bad, you can always touch it up in post. When an idea comes into your head, write it down immediately and when you’re feeling like you’re never going to finish your book because you don’t have time or have writers block, don’t worry, you will. It doesn’t matter how long it takes, as long as you’re making progress. Most importantly, not everyone is going to like your book and that is okay.
