Whatever happened to Jacob? He's mentioned a few times in Tracks to Freedom. Then Agnes meets Joel and Jacob is never mentioned again. It's like he never existed.

Michael Reit Hi Russ! Thanks for reading Tracks to Freedom. Jacob's story is covered in Beyond the Tracks, the first book of the series, although they can be read out of order.

I just saw your review and realize you've read Beyond the Tracks. I don't want to spoil anything, but there may well be more of the characters in future books (including Jacob!).
