Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Robert Cole Stephen King has commented that some of the best books are written when the author comes up with a unique situation and then simply tells a great story based on that premise. The idea for my current novel came from watching the indictment of Donald Trump and wondering: what would happen if he didn't show up for his arraignment?
