hello, how are you today? I have just finished book 1 of Rune, I loved it dearly, maybe too dearly. I am curious. Why didn't you wish for Rune and Brand to be together? :(((((((((((

(view spoiler)[Oh, I absolutely think Rune and Brand will always be together. I think their relationship is the deepest amongst any I've ever written, and that won't ever change. They don't need to be in a physical relationship for that to happen -- there doesn't need to be a romance between them. They've experienced nearly every second of their lives and the world with each other -- and I'm pretty sure, someday, they'll walk out of it together, too.
I don't often comment on questions like this, because I don't want to give away where the story goes -- and a lot happens in the first three books with regards to relationships, and a HECK OF A LOT happens in the 4th book. It becomes clear.
But if you're worried that I'm somehow putting wedges between Rune and Brand, I can promise I'm not. I cherish their bond in the story. I'd never make it anything less than the heart of my series.

Hello! Just finished the Last Sun and I loved it, can't wait to read the Hanged Man! ...do you have a mailing list to which I could subscribe? I saw there was no kindle edition of the Hanged Man available for preorder and I'd love to get notifications about your progress and book releases (I follow a lot of autors and don't want to miss the release and forget about the series)

K.D.! I love the series as I am sure many of us do! So knowing that the series is 9 books long (which thank god cause if ended at a trilogy I would be devasted). I noticed that book 1 was pubbed in 2018, book 2 quickly followed in 2019, and then book 3 had a 3 year gap to 2022. I assume bc of COVID as it is mentioned in book 3. However, can you give us an anticipated timeline for book 4 and beyond?

Hi! Please feel free to disregard this question if you don't want to answer for any reason, but if you could, it'd settle a small argument! Before you published the first book, were you ever in some way in the transformative fandom? (AO3, Yuletide, etc?). Or did you maybe join it somewhere between books 2 and 3, or 1 and 2? Not your own book's fandom, any of it. (NOT asking for your pseud in any way, just y/n.)
