Along with the scares in your books, I also love the small-town atmosphere and the lives of people in it. Was Stephen King an influence since you mentioned him in Bane County? Also, what inspired you to have a small-town setting for your books?

J.R. Rice Thanks so much for reading. I grew up out in the sticks, in a tiny rural town; I feel they make great settings for scary stories. And yes, I enjoy many of Stephen King's older stories; he's a great world builder. However, my taste in authors can be very eclectic.
