Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Emili Lemon The HOT TROPIC series is all drawn from my sailing experiences through the South Pacific. All the island places and cultures that I write about are fiction drawn directly from those places. When you cross the South Pacific you have to do it in a timely way to avoid cyclone seasons, so there is always a reason to move on to the next island group. You get a snapshot of each place, soak up as much as you can, then (speaking for myself at least) break your heart leaving.... because you must. The serial aspect of the journey, these serial snapshots of different tropical land and seascapes and cultures is really what inspired the idea of a series of books...
