David, I'm curious if you know of any other books written by or set in folks from Southern Illinois? Other than my own novel, I'm only aware of a handful and it... sort of depresses me. I assumed a fellow Illinois literary thinker might know.

Dave, I am interested in your list of picture books that you put together to read with your family. Last year I read all of the GR nominated books, and ended up reading all of your reviews of them. This year, I see the category has been deleted. I'd really like to read the books on your replacement list. Are you sharing the list?
