S. Owen-Westwood asked Jodi Taylor:

Hello, I just wanted to say thank you for your St Mary's and TP series. I found Doing Time in a shop and then bought my dad the first 10 of the St Mary's for last Christmas, where he would read one and give it to me-usually with a knowing smile and a demand to ring him once I get to a certain chapter! Thank you for providing such a joyous reading experience for us. My question: what are your favourite scenes to write?

Jodi Taylor Hi. I enjoy most scenes - although some aren't that co-operative. I think my favourites are the ones between Cmdr Hay and Capt Farenden. He manages her and she lets him. Anything with Markham in it is usually interesting in that I never know which way it's going to go. Anything with Russell Checkland, because he has no filter and just says what everyone is thinking but has the social skill not to utter. And Grint and Jane are fast becoming favourites as well. As Luke Parrish will say - neither of them has the first clue about romance. Not forgetting Francesca because she's so gloriously selfish.
