Kim Freeman
Kim Freeman asked Fiona Davis:

You are one of my all-time favorite authors and I enjoy every minute of my trips back in time with your books. I was wondering if you ever thought of doing a book based on Emily Warren Roebling who became the first female field engineer in history as the "surrogate chief engineer" of one of the greatest architectural projects of the 19th century, the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge?

Fiona Davis Hi Kim - thanks so much for reaching out! Thrilled you enjoy the books. I agree, she's an amazing woman and there's already a great fictional book about her called The Engineer's Wife by Tracey Enerson Wood, which came out in 2020. Otherwise I would be all over that! Excellent idea, for sure. xoxo
