Laura Hundley
Laura Hundley asked Theo Boyd:

I have just lost my 70 yr old mother and there was no indication that she would die. That has made it very hard for me and the holidays are terrible right now. Do you feel that grief, for you, has diminished at all over the yrs and how do you handle the holidays?

Theo Boyd I am so sorry that I just now saw this!! I apologize.

First of all, I am so very sorry about your mother. Losing my Momma was the hardest thing ever and to answer your question...
My grief has gotten more manageable. It is still hard during the holidays because that is when the memories of her are the strongest. The smells, the decorations, the presents, the FOOD!! I try to focus on what I can do for others and not the sadness. I have found when I focus on others that helps me to feel joy and not the pain as badly.

I hope this helps you. Thank you for reaching out.

Love,

Theo
