Hi!! I totally loved the Henna Artist a little while ago (the characters depth and relationships were the best part!!). The book made me really curious about some of the foods you wrote about, so the recipes at the back made everything better!! Yes! Those are the dishes my mother prepared and my brothers and I loved. I can’t make them as well as my mother could, and I hope I wrote the recipes accurately, but since she’d not here anymore to check them, I’ve done my best. When she cooked at home, I would always ask her to measure out the ingredients for me, but she would laugh and say she did everything by “andaj.” You probably know what that means ;-)

Hello Alka Joshi! Congrats on your debut novel. It is now one of my all-time favorite books now. I truly love your writing style. I want to know if you have plans to continue the story of certain characters in The Henna Artist, (maybe a spin-off?). If so, which one(s)? What was your favorite part of the novel to write? :)
