Since the Kopp sisters (and many others in the books) were real people who lived not that long ago, have any of their descendants expressed worry about how their loved ones are portrayed?

Actually, they've all been wonderful and kind and gracious. It's been a delight to connect with these people and hear their stories, and they have been very understanding of the fact that sometimes I'm going to tweak some details to fit the novel I'm trying to write!

Hi Amy, I've really enjoyed your books about nature, and it was great fun to read your first Kopp Sisters novel. The next is on my Goodreads list. I saw your note about the Kopp story springing from Drunken Botanist research--has your historical research in turn inspired another botany or gardening book?
