Lisa, Just finished your Tale of Stars and Shadow series for the first time, and rate it among my favorite fantasies. I noticed that both Alyx and Talyn love riding horses, so I was wondering whether you love riding and are projecting your own passion for it on your female characters (like with Talyn and coffee )? Your descriptions make me wish I could go back and try riding myself.

Hi Dave! What a lovely message to receive at the beginning of a whole new year. The answer is a bit of a yes and no - I think I've always wanted to learn to ride, which is why the riding infuses my books so much (particularly in AToSaS). And a couple of years back I did start regular riding lessons, which I really enjoyed, and also helped me write horses/riding more accurately. You can start learning to ride at any age, so I highly recommend it if it's something you'd like to try.
