Dear See, I am your new fan ! My graduation thesis is about your novel Dragon Bones. I notice that there are some pictures called The Imperial Domain, The Enfeoffed Domain, The Sworn Domain...I am confused what is your purpose by designing in this way? Wish you happiness!

Those are the domains that were created by the first emperor. (I wrote the book so long ago that I don't remember his name, but he's who the book is about essentially and proving he existed.) But I also used those domains as a kind of visual way of getting deeper into the story/mystery.

I love all your books! I have read them all a few times. Even the mysteries I tend to forget the details and always see something new! Looking forward to the book about the fisherwomen. While I'm waiting, can you recommend similar authors- mother daughter bonds in historical settings?

I loved "Snow Flower" so very much in part because of the "pen-pal" friendship which developed and how the two women complemented each other. Do you find yourself relating to one of your characters over another (this can include any of your books)? Are there fun quirks you share with one of your characters?
