Hi Caroline Why did you sign the book deal when your self published book is doing so well? Best wishes, John

Hi John
That's a great question. I thought long and hard about submitting my fiction novel to publishers before I sent it. Self publishing was certainly plan B should things not work out. I'm so glad I self published Paranormal Intruder as it gave me a fantastic insight into how it all works. But it's also incredibly time consuming marketing, publishing and being entirely responsible for your own book. I wanted to work with a publishers that would help me with that side of things, giving me more time to write lots more books. I'm confident they will also introduce my work to a whole new audience, and it's fantastic being able to work with such professional people such as the crime editors, cover designers and marketing experts. Not all publishers provide such lavish attention to detail as Bookouture though, so I would advise anyone trying to decide whether to self publish or sign for a deal to research as much as they can, and get their contracts checked before signing.

Hi Caroline, Just want to say that although so far I have only read Paranormal Intruder (thst was so scary!) I have got Time to Die and Don't Turn Around on my kindle all ready to read. Already I'm hooked on your work! My question to you is: If your husband had not talked you into writing Paranormal Intruder, do you think you would ever have took up writing?
