Seven Deaths is easily my favorite book, and the only one that I've come across that did body-swapping/time looping in such a fascinating way. Have you come across any other books that have done this (uniquely niche) sub-genre justice? (Sidenote: Do you have any plans to visit Australia? I am based in South-East Queensland and would love to visit one of your book signings!)
Stuart Turton
Thanks for your question! I visit Australia quite a lot, as my wife is Australian, but sadly I don't usually tour. It's a huge country, and would require a lot of time away from my young family. If that ever changes I'll flag it on social media. Unfortunately, I haven't encountered anything else in this niche sub genre. That's part of the reason why I wrote mine. I wanted to read something like this.

Huge fan of your work. I discovered your work through my book club with the book The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. We just loved it! We were all following each other's reading and making schemes to discover the killer. Until the first one who read the whole book said "forget everything". Now i have read The Devil and the Dark Water. I´m so ready for the next book! It´s coming soon?

I just finished your book 'The seven deaths' twenty minutes ago, and I am looking forward to a new release from you. I admire how you managed to pull this one off, and I would love to see more. Mystery seems to suit you very well. I've left a review for you on Goodreads; and will be bothering people to read your novel. ((-? The necessary question mark))

Stuart Turton:
I found some kind of anchor in Evelyn Hardcastle's "Seven Dead" to her latest book "The Devil and the Dark Water". In fact, in the list of experiments, cited by the plague doctor, there is a reference to a ship of the past centuries and other experiments are listed (which alas I do not remember). Should we expect a Turton universe where everything is connected?
