What about this type of novel aka fantasy and Sapphic romance first drew you to write it?

S. Victoria Nakamun It's interesting because my favourite reading genres and my favourite writing genres are different- I was driven to writing fantasy for a much different reason than I would to read it. I find it incredibly fun to try and translate my real world struggles, joys, and thoughts about the world and our place within it into fantastical realms, creatures and characters. There's something so amazing about analyzing the structure of our world and reimagining it in an entirely different way, taking pieces I love in order to celebrate them or hate in order to critique them.
As for sapphic romance, there's nothing I love more than celebrating the part of my identity that brings the most love and community into my life!
