What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Heather Rainier Having held numerous jobs, with more than a few horrible bosses and coworkers, my favorite thing about writing is being my own boss, setting my own hours, and doing for a living what I absolutely love. I don't have anyone dictating to me what I should be doing, or how I should be doing it, or taking their unhappiness with their own lives out on me. And since I work from home, the commute isn't too bad, either.
