What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Virginia Duan Don't compare your situation to other people's success. Just like we never know what other people are going through in terms of tough times, we don't know all the ways people are supported that we are not. The presence or absence of privileges and cushions like financial security, food security, children, disabilities, etc. can make or break us!

Also, write. The only way to get better is by doing and sometimes, that means you have to be willing to be terrible before becoming great.
