Thanks! That's very kind of you to say. I don't have any immediate plans to write a history of the American library, but maybe down the road. Have you read Susan Orlean's THE LIBRARY BOOK? It's not a history of the library as an institution, but is a fascinating history of the LA Central Library and the terrible fire. It's very well written.
