Here's the advice I got, and it really is the best available. Read a lot, write a lot, and if you have any talent at all you will eventually publish. There really is no short cut. Writing has one advantage over almost any other career; no one can stop you from doing it. No circumstance can completely stop you from doing the work. The sooner you begin the sooner you will develop the skills you need. So begin, and see each project through to a conclusion. Good luck.

I was wondering about you the other day. I'm glad to hear that for the most part you are coping with life in captivity. As usual I hope you get the bug again and finish up some more books. I miss my old friend Sumto you know. Take care and remember, in the end, everything is OK. If it's not OK, it's not the end. And since this won't send until I put a question mark in it, Why do we fear things that can't harm us?
